Apple Hand Pies

Take the classic apple pie and turn it into something you can eat with one hand. These hand pies are filled with the perfect blend of apple and spices. Fun dessert for a crowd or in a child's lunch box. Serve warm or room temperature.
Ingredients
- 8 apples - diced (I used MacIntosh)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 2 thawed pie crusts
- 1 egg
Directions
- Step 1 Cook diced apples in pan with the sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg. Stir in flour.
- Step 2 Add butter to cooked apple mixture once they are tender.
- Step 3 Roll our pie crusts. Cut each pie crust circles into 4 pieces for a total of 8.
- Step 4 Add a few tablespoons of apple filling onto the pie crusts making sure not to over stuff.
- Step 5 Using your finger dab edges with a little water to help seal the dough as you fold over the the edges.
- Step 6 With the back of a fork seal edges closed.
- Step 7 Brush pies with an egg wash.
- Step 8 Place into air fryer for 8 minutes at 400 degrees.
- Step 9 (If you don’t have a air fryer you can bake them in a 400 degree oven for 10 to 15 minutes watching to not to over bake)
