Italian Dark Hot Chocolate

            Thick and rich, this hot chocolate recipe is decadent. The longer you cook it the thicker it gets - almost a pudding consistency!

Ingredients
- 4 cups whole milk
 - 1/4 granulated sugar plus 2 tablespoons
 - 8 oz 70% dark chocolate - chopped
 - 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
 - 5 tablespoons cornstarch
 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 
Directions
- Step 1 Chop dark chocolate and set aside.
 - Step 2 Add 5 tablespoons cornstarch to 1/2 milk and make into a slurry. Set aside.
 - Step 3 Heat 3 1/2 cups of milk on medium.
 - Step 4 Add dark chocolate, cocoa, sugar, and salt. Mix well.
 - Step 5 Cook on medium heat for 10minutes.
 - Step 6 Slowly add milk and cornstarch mixture and whisk for 2 to 3 minutes until completely dissolved.
 - Step 7 Turn down to low. The longer it cooks the thicker it gets.
 - Step 8 Pour into mug and add toppings.
