Broiled Pizza Tomatoes

Broiled tomatoes topped with herbs and grated cheese tastes like the goodness of pizza without all the carbs. Make for a quick snack or a side for dinner.

Ingredients
- There are no specific amounts for this recipe as it's to everyone's own taste. I used the following:
- 2 to 3 ripe vine tomatoes - thinly sliced
- Your favorite shredded cheese - I used a mild Wisconsin cheddar
- Kosher Salt and fresh ground pepper
- Onion powder
- Garlic powder
- Dried oregano
- Olive oil
Directions
- Step 1 Drizzle olive oil to coat bottom of a cast iron pan.
- Step 2 Thinly slice tomatoes and place into pan.
- Step 3 Sprinkle with salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
- Step 4 Generously top with cheese.
- Step 5 Broil until cheese is melted and golden brown.
- Step 6 Enjoy this simple and easy dish!
