Cocktail Crackers

These crispy Cocktail Crackers are buttery, full of cheddar cheese and have a hint of heat. I make these during the holidays and keep them in a jar for family and friends who stop over. They are also great on a snack board, with soups, salads, or dips.

Ingredients
- 2 heaping cups of shredded cheddar cheese - shred your own, it always taste better.
- 1 cup soften butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon dried mustard
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 2 cups rice cereal
Directions
- Step 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Step 2 Combine cheese, butter and spices in mixer.
- Step 3 Cream together.
- Step 4 Add flour and mix.
- Step 5 Scrap bowl.
- Step 6 Add pecans. Mix.
- Step 7 Add rice cereal. Mix only until incorporated. You do not want to crush the cereal.
- Step 8 Scrape bowl.
- Step 9 Scoop 1 1/2 teaspoon size balls onto baking sheet.
- Step 10 Using a fork, gently pressed down in a crisscross direction.
- Step 11 Bake in oven for 8 to 10 minutes until golden brown.
- Step 12 Remove to a wire rack to cool.
- Step 13 Serve with your favorite cocktail, salad, soups, or dips.
