This easy appetizer is bound to wow your guests. With three ingredients they will enjoy a delicious mouthful. I'm not including specific amounts as you can make as many of them as you wish. They can be made ahead of time and baked off right before guest arrive. Perfect right out of the oven or at room temperature. Salty, sweet, and creamy. You will even convince the biggest blue cheese critic out there. They're bound to be a hit!
Ingredients
- Low sodium bacon
- Blue Cheese - I use gorgonzola
- Pitted dates
Directions
- Step 1 Cut strips of bacon into three pieces.
- Step 2 Cut dates down the center but not all the way through.
- Step 3 Open dates and stuff with blue cheese.
- Step 4 Wrap bacon around stuffed dates and secure with toothpick.
- Step 5 Bake in a preheated 425 degree oven for 10 minutes. Turn them over and put them in for another 5 to 8 minutes.
- Step 6 Place on paper towel to absorb extra grease.
- Step 7 Arrange on serving dish and enjoy! Eat one before putting them out because they will disappear before you know it!
