This large crepe-like popover pancake, is a German pancake. Often known as a Dutch Baby. You can make with the simple ingredients you probably have as staples in your pantry. This golden, buttery masterpiece billows out of the oven into a wonderfully light and airy pancake. Serve this spectacular German pancake hot from the oven with your favorite toppings: maple syrup, confectioner's sugar, berries, and fruit.

Ingredients
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
Directions
  • Step 1 Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  • Step 2 Cut butter into 5 pats.
  • Step 3 Place butter in a 9×13-inch baking pan and place it in the oven until melted. Remove from oven and set aside.
  • Step 4 In a blender place the eggs, milk, sugar, flour, and vanilla extract.
  • Step 5 Blend for 2 or 3 minutes, until smooth.
  • Step 6 Pour the batter into the hot baking dish over the melted butter.
  • Step 7 Bake for 20 – 25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and puffy.
  • Step 8 Serve immediately with your favorite toppings – maple syrup, confectioner’s sugar, berries, and fruit.
