These brownies they are so decadent. I cut them into small squares because these rich fudge like brownies with a creamy cheesecake swirl brings this dessert to the next level. They taste great at room temperature but when chilled they are over the top. These are no ordinary brownies!

Ingredients
  • Cheesecake filling:
  • 2 8oz cream cheese blocks - soft
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • Brownie Batter:
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chips
Directions
  • Step 1 To make the cheesecake filling, beat cream cheese and sugar with a hand mixer or stand alone mixer in a small bowl till smooth and creamy.
  • Step 2 Add the egg and vanilla and beat till just blended.
  • Step 3 Set aside.
  • Step 4 To make the brownie batter -Melt butter in a large glass bowl. Whisk in sugar and cocoa powder.
  • Step 5 Whisk in eggs and vanilla till smooth.
  • Step 6 Stir in flour, salt, and chocolate chips.
  • Step 7 Reserve 1 cup of the brownie batter.
  • Step 8 Spread the rest in the bottom of the prepared pan.
  • Step 9 Pour the cheesecake mixture over the batter and spread evenly.
  • Step 10 Drop the reserved brownie batter by teaspoons over the cheesecake filling. Swirl with a butter knife.
  • Step 11 Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or till brownies are set.
  • Step 12 Chill for at least and hour before cutting into 1 1/2 inch squares.
  • Step 13 Enjoy!
