Marble Chocolate Cheesecake Brownies

These brownies they are so decadent. I cut them into small squares because these rich fudge like brownies with a creamy cheesecake swirl brings this dessert to the next level. They taste great at room temperature but when chilled they are over the top. These are no ordinary brownies!
Ingredients
- Cheesecake filling:
- 2 8oz cream cheese blocks - soft
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
- Brownie Batter:
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chips
Directions
- Step 1 To make the cheesecake filling, beat cream cheese and sugar with a hand mixer or stand alone mixer in a small bowl till smooth and creamy.
- Step 2 Add the egg and vanilla and beat till just blended.
- Step 3 Set aside.
- Step 4 To make the brownie batter -Melt butter in a large glass bowl. Whisk in sugar and cocoa powder.
- Step 5 Whisk in eggs and vanilla till smooth.
- Step 6 Stir in flour, salt, and chocolate chips.
- Step 7 Reserve 1 cup of the brownie batter.
- Step 8 Spread the rest in the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Step 9 Pour the cheesecake mixture over the batter and spread evenly.
- Step 10 Drop the reserved brownie batter by teaspoons over the cheesecake filling. Swirl with a butter knife.
- Step 11 Bake at 350° for 35-40 minutes or till brownies are set.
- Step 12 Chill for at least and hour before cutting into 1 1/2 inch squares.
