Where You're Always Welcome

Tis’ the Season for Hot Chocolate

Whether you are a coffee drinker or a tea sipper, you will probably have at least one cup of hot chocolate this winter season.  Assembling a Hot Cocoa Bar for your next winter gathering is a fun and interactive way for your friends and family to create their own mugs of deliciousness.  I’ve created three simple hot chocolate recipes that you can embellish with your favorite flavors of the season. You don’t need many ingredients or lots of prep time to put them together, just good quality chocolate.  Have fun with your toppings and display.  You want the area to be inviting for guests as they walk up to it.  Visit your local sweet shop or candy isle and find seasonal confections.  Use jars and bowls of different shapes and heights to add interest to your display. If possible, have your candies, marshmallows, and goodies in clear containers for your guests to see right away.  A few recipe ideas help give your guests an idea where to start.  Then, they can add their own twist to what they like.  A mug of decadent hot chocolate and homemade cookies is the perfect dessert for any winter party!
