Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Bars

Quicker than making a batch of cookies but full of the same yummy flavors. These bars are the best when warmed and topped with vanilla ice cream!
Ingredients
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 14 tablespoons of butter melted (1 cup 6 tablespoons)
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 3 cups quick rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Step 1 Preheat oven to 350 F and spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with cooking spray.
- Step 2 In a glass bowl melt the butter in the microwave.
- Step 3 Add the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and melted butter together and blend in a mixer until combined and creamy.
- Step 4 Add the vanilla and egg to mixture and combine.
- Step 5 In a separate large mixing bowl, add the flour, oats, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Whisk to combine.
- Step 6 Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until incorporated.
- Step 7 Once combined add in the chocolate chips and stir.
- Step 8 Pour into the baking dish and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. until the center is set and the edges are a light golden brown.
- Step 9 -Let cool for 10 minutes.
- Step 10 -Slice, Serve, and ENJOY!!!
