What Puts a Smile on Your Face?

Up for a challenge?  Every year people look at January as the month of bettering themselves in some way – exercising more, eating healthier, getting organized, learning something new etc… I thought this year as a family we could try to remember all the positive things that we experience throughout the year.  Using a simple jar, scraps of paper and a pen, we can jot down all the great memories we have in a year.  Anything from a compliment, a goal big or small that was accomplished, an experience, a random act of kindness, joy one brought to another person, answered prayers, something good that came out of something bad, something silly the dog did, a funny joke, a daily blessing etc…

By jotting these little moments down it may help us appreciate all the positive things that happen to us on a regular basis and help us remember the good when we have a bad day.  Let’s start this heart warming tradition and encourage each other to try this together seeking gratitude in each day ! Then next New Year’s Day we can read them aloud.
